Rotary Inner Melbourne Emergency Relief Network Inc (RIMERN) is a multi-club Centenary of Rotary in Australia project, that is continuing the community service work of Eastern Emergency Relief Network (EERN) in Mitcham and Western Emergency Relief Network (WERN) in Ravenshall, bridging the two established services across greater Melbourne as a central source of donated new and second-hand furniture, appliances and household goods for people requiring support who are introduced by a range of member relief agencies and organisations.
Our clients may have suffered from a range of crises, including long term illness, unemployment, domestic violence or homelessness, refugee displacement, incarceration or other situations of hardship.
These clients can only access our goods through the Member Agencies of RIMERN.

Where does RIMERN operate?
RIMERN supports people of inner Melbourne, ie. the cities of Stonnington, Glen Eira, Port Philip, Melbourne, Yarra, Darebin, east Moreland, south Banyule and northern Bayside.
How is RIMERN funded?
The cost of running RIMERN (rent, outgoings, utilities, vehicle costs, rubbish disposal, administration and cleaning) is approximately $100,000 per annum, funded by member Rotary Clubs, Member Agency annual fees, philanthropic Grants, Rotary Grant funding and other fundraising.
From time to time, RIMERN may sell donated goods that are unsuitable for clients’ homes, raising additional operating funds.
